Birding Adventures
In the dramatic alpine valleys and the misty cloud forests of Peru, the mountainsides are alive with mysterious birdsong. Andean forests are home to many wonderful rare and often endemic species that can be obverved as we explore the various trails and the little used roads of these regions which, more often than not, have snowy Andean summits serving as a stunning backdrop. We currently offer multi-day birding treks and outings in the Cordillera Blanca and in the Vilcabamba Range (Cusco) and we hope, whether you are a seasoned birder or a curious novice, you will join us for a true birding adventure.
Trekking in the Cordillera Blanca & Huayhuash
The Cordillera Blanca and the Huayhuash are two closely associated mountain ranges that form the crown of the Peruvian Andes. Most of Peru's largest and most legendary glaciated peaks reside here making this THE place for high-mountain trekking. Here you will find the loftiest peaks in the tropics, legendary summits like Huascaran, Siula Grande, Yerupaja, Alpamayo, and many others. These routes are just about as good as it gets. We can organize treks on essentiually any route in this region.
Cusco Trekking & Machu Picchu
Cusco needs no introduction. In addition to its lauded archeological sites, the region boasts absolutely first rate trekking opportunities in a variety of ecosystems. Some of our favorites routes include Choquequirao, Ausangate, and various trails in the Vilcabamba. The possibilities here are almost endless. In Cusco we can arrange a full Cusco experience which includes a trek, or just the trek by itself.
