Santa Cruz-Ulta Trek
This is our extended six-day version of the classic trek through the Cordillera Blanca, famous for its fabulous views of big mountains like Artesonraju (the model for the Paramount Pictures logo), Huascaran (the world's highest tropical mountain), and even a glimpse of elegant Alpamayo (voted the most beautiful mountain in the world). The last two days are spent off the beaten path and ascend a lesser-known but equally beautiful pass. We can also do the traditional four-day version of this trek.
Los Cedros-Alpamayo-Santa Cruz Trek
Big mountains and big valleys in a remote setting, the Cedros is a true adventure. This series of ancient trails weaves through the high passes of the northern Cordillera Blanca offering day after day of beautiful views and an opportunity to see the classic north face of Alpamayo. Other highlights include stupendous six-thousand meter peaks like Santa Cruz, the Pucajircas, and Taulliraju as well as secluded lakes and intact ancient queñual forests. This 11 day trek is moderately strenuous and comparable to the Huyahuash in difficulty and quality, but without crowds. You'll feel like an explorer knowing that you have gone where few others have ventured.
